Lucid Culture Isn’t Dead

As you’ve undoubtedly noticed by now, Lucid Culture has been working at about halfspeed since the end of September: we’ve been in major reorganization mode. But the end of the madness is in sight! We’re going to celebrate the end of the Zeros and the brand-new decade of the Teens with a long-overdue return to daily reviews, news, a brand-new and fairly exhaustive NYC live music calendar along with a return of both the Song of the Day and the weekly Tuesday Top Ten Songs of the Week features. If you’re new to this site, there’s an awful lot to look forward to (we’ll actually be up and running at full steam again by the week of the major Christian holiday and the minor Jewish one). If you’re a longtime visitor, thanks for hanging in there while we grappled with one issue after another - it’ll be good to be back once and for all.

We apologize especially for the bare-bones nature of our December NYC live music calendar: it’s been one of our most popular features, and the next will much more in-depth than what we have now. In the meantime, here’s where your input becomes particularly helpful: feel free to contribute your own intelligence, whether news of upcoming shows or events just recently past, using the comments button at the bottom of the page.
